I moved here from Colorado in 2004 after working a night shift at the hospital and coming out to a blizzard, I said to myself, I’m a nurse, I’m sure I can get a job somewhere warmer. So, as soon as I got home, I looked up where is it springtime weather all the time. Here I am in San Diego (Encinitas) almost 20 years later!

I get cravings (similar to food cravings) to do arts and crafts and be creative.

I love to be outside. Gardening, roller skating, playing Pickleball…basically any reason.
APPRECIATES
I have the cutest dog on the planet, named Joben. (Extra points if you guess where the name came from, I’ll tell you later if you don't know.)

Hi! I'm JACKIE,
I have been a full-time beauty nurse since 2006. It is truly a passion that I’m so lucky I found! It is my honor that you, my lovely clients, trust me to help you restore your youth and confidence as we age gracefully together.
Being in this industry since its early stages, I have seen many products, techniques, and trends come and go. That has driven my dedication to master the techniques of non-invasive image enhancements over the last two decades.
As a patient, when you sit in my chair, many things are going to happen that will put you at ease. I will spend as much time as you need educating you on what are the best options for you.
You may come see me not knowing what it is that you want to do, or what exactly is bothering you, you just know you want a refresh. Maybe your friend also sees me, and they look great, so you want some advice. I will make a treatment plan customized for you, and keep you educated as much or as little as you would like along the way.
It is truly fun for me to reach milestones with my clients. I love getting people ready for a big event. For example, if a wedding or reunion is coming up, we will work backward by making a timeline for treatments that will have you looking your most gorgeous self on the big day.
On the other hand, you may not have anything big coming up, you just want to maintain a healthy look, I’m here for that too! I know this may sound cheesy, but at this point in my career I say and think, “I want to grow old with my clients”. What I mean when I say that is, I cherish my patient relationships, and I will never over treat or over charge you. I may not run a million specials, that’s because I want people to have what is best for them, not what is on sale. That said, I will make sure I provide you the best bang for your buck, with the outcome you are looking for.
Many of my clients know one of my favorite things is being a beauty nerd. I spend a ton of time and energy making sure I stay up to date on the latest, greatest and safest practices in aesthetic medicine. I attend many conferences, dinners, online lectures, cadaver dissections, and meetings about best practices every year, not because I have to but because it’s an ever-evolving area of medicine and I mean it when I say it is truly my passion.

I would expect some swelling after filler. Not all patients are the same. Some get more and some get less.
I have heard of many remedies for swelling over the years. Some swear by an allergy pill after, others say arnica supplements help, and others just ice. Whatever you do make sure you keep the treated area clean, as in don’t put the bag of peas from the freezer on your injection site, and make sure you allow 24 hours for the treatment area to stay clean and out of reach of germs.

I will always clean your skin, but if you arrive with clean skin I really appreciate it.
If you are getting injectables you can take Arnica sublingual tablets a few days before to help reduce bruising, and stop taking Advil/Motrin, aspirin, fish oil, or any other blood thinners several days before the appointment.
If you are having PRF (blood drawn) it helps get more of the powerful PRF, if you are hydrated and have been eating clean for a couple of days before.
